🪑 Move with Grace: Chair Exercise Series
Week 1 – Breathe & Stretch
Welcome to the Move with Grace series — a gentle approach to physical wellness designed for real people, in real bodies, with real lives.
Whether you sit at a desk, have limited mobility, or simply want a soft start to movement, this series is for you. Each week, we’ll focus on one small, intentional way to move your body — all from the comfort and stability of a chair.
🌬️ Week 1: Breathe & Stretch
Before any exercise, we begin with breath. Breath connects the mind and body, calms your heart, and prepares you for movement.
Try this short routine today:
1. Sit tall – Feet flat on the floor, hands resting on your thighs.
2. Take a deep breath in, counting to 4.
3. Hold for 2 seconds, then slowly exhale for 6 seconds.
4. Shoulder rolls – Lift your shoulders to your ears, roll them back and down (repeat 5 times).
5. Neck stretch – Tilt your right ear toward your right shoulder, breathe, then switch sides.
6. Arm reach – Inhale as you raise your arms overhead, exhale as you bring them down slowly.
💡 Try this tip: Do this at your desk, while watching TV, or after morning coffee. Every little bit of movement counts — and your body will thank you.
