A Letter to You
Dear friend,
As autumn deepens and the air turns crisp, our homes become the heart of our days once again — the place where warmth, love, and simple comforts grow. That’s why I’m beginning a new four-week series called “Cleaning with Grace: Preparing Your Home for Winter.”
Each week, we’ll take small, intentional steps to make our homes feel peaceful, cozy, and ready for the season ahead. It’s not about perfection or pressure — it’s about finding beauty in care and calm in simplicity.
This week, we begin with “The Cozy Foundation.”
✨ Decluttering with Purpose
Before we can add cozy touches or light candles, we need to create space for peace to breathe.
Start small — one room, one drawer, one surface.
Here are gentle places to begin:
- Clear your surfaces. Remove piles and set out only what brings comfort or usefulness.
- Donate unused items. Bless others with what no longer serves your family.
- Refresh your entryway. Sweep the doorway, add a mat or candle, and welcome peace as you walk in.
As you tidy, play soft music, light a candle, or open a window. Let the air shift with your effort — a symbolic “reset” for both your home and your heart.
🪞 Reflection
What does a cozy, peaceful home mean to you?
Is it the scent of dinner cooking, the glow of lamplight, or the sound of laughter? Take a quiet moment to write it down.

Closing Thought
Remember, a home doesn’t need to be spotless to shine.
It simply needs to feel lived in with love.
This week, let your small acts of care become tiny prayers of peace.
